Lucy Westenra is a young socialite from a wealthy family in 1890's London. Compared to her best friend, Mina Murray, whose fascination is with science and research, interests more commonly associated with men, Lucy was raised to learn the proper behaviors of a woman in society, which primarily revolve around gossip, fashion, and raising one's popularity amongst social circles. However, Lucy's flirtatious and boisterous personality also made her keen on other scandalous behaviors such as visiting wealthy drug dens, to which she would sometimes take Mina to drink and smoke, often getting drunk and high into the early hours of the following morning.
Eventually, Lucy came to realize that she was harboring romantic feelings for Mina, but consistently brushed them away, as homosexuality isn't considered to be socially acceptable. With the encouragement of Jayne Wetherby, she eventually did confess her feelings to her best friend, only to be instantly rejected. Jayne convinced Lucy that Mina needed to learn what it meant to be hurt by someone she loved, and put Lucy on the track to seducing Mina's fiance, Jonathan, as retaliation. After losing her virginity to Jonathan, Lucy told Mina of what had occurred between them, which ultimately put an end to their friendship.
Upon learning of what Lucy had done, Dracula, also publicly known as Alexander Grayson and whom carried immense feelings for Mina, bit Lucy and forced her to drink his blood in order to turn her into a vampire as revenge for hurting the woman he loved. This greatly weakened Lucy as she underwent the transition, hiding in her room to shield herself from the sunlight, before her thirst awakened and she soon bit her first victim, her own mother.

• physiology: maintains a regular human appearance, albeit paler than normal while thirsting for blood. when ready to consume blood, her canines will grow into fangs to be able to bite into flesh.
• immortality: will not age and can maintain her youthful appearance as long as she regularly consumes blood.
• superhuman strength: stronger than regular humans, although not as strong as most vampires since she only newly transitioned.
• superhuman speed/reflexes: faster than regular human, but as with her strength, she isn't as fast as other vampires.
• superhuman senses: can hear, see, and smell better than humans, although she doesn't have much control over using them.
• accelerated healing: can heal from non-fatal injuries faster than normal.
• levitation: can float as other vampires can.
• vampire creation: can sire new vampires by biting a human and forcing them to drink her blood.
• telepathic connection: would be able to have sensitive senses to vampires she sires (currently none).
